Sudoku Rules In the 9x9 Sudoku puzzle above, the objective is to achieve an arrangement of numbers such that 1 to 9 appear in each of the nine:

  • 3x3 regions as delineated by the light blue and green shading
  • rows
  • columns

Usage Instructions Click within an input square on the Sudoku board. This is where numbers are needed to complete the Sudoku puzzle. The keyboard keys that are accepted are:

  • The numeric keys 1 to 9 on the top portion of the keyboard or the right numeric keypad.
  • Tab to move from one input field to the next.
  • Shift Tab to move from one input field to the previous.

User entered numbers are in bold and of different color from the pre-set numbers. An invalid entry is indicated with yellow highlighting.
