Harvest Moon

The originally recorded video used high exposure to see the clouds, however, that created too much exposure to see the face of the moon. A photo was taken with sufficiently low exposure to see the face of the moon. DaVinci Resolve 12.5 was used to create the footage showing the face of the moon from the originally recorded sequence. The moon is travelling slowly across the sky in the video. That presents a video editing challenge to move the moon face photo to correspond to the path of the over-exposed faceless moon in the recording. Furthermore, exposure adjustment was done to lower the brightness of the halo around the moon while raising the brightness of the moonlight on the clouds. DaVinci Resolve proved to have the functional features for the task.

Terrafugia flying car in the driveway

If Earth were the size of a basketball, the moon would be the size of a tennis ball and they'd be 25 feet apart.
