Owning a Single Tarot Deck
I own a single Tarot deck in physical form. Well, it is actually an Oracle deck which was given to me by Beyond Words, a publishing company which has a partnership distribution arrangement with Simon & Shuster. My foray into the Tarot World began when Beyond Words approached me with their idea for the creation of a smartphone Tarot App for the Oracle of Shadows & Light deck.
There is good and bad with everything.
The Oracle of Shadows & Light project has stalled with Beyond Words for reasons not completely known to me. I am aware that my prime contact at Beyond Words had health problems and was away from work for an extended period of time. Since I was not making any headway with Beyond Words, I decided to contact the artist and author of the Oracle of Shadows & Light deck. The artist is Jasmine Becket-Griffith with whom I have had email exchanges and I am currently awaiting to hear back from Jasmine. I also contacted the author Lucy Cavendish from whom I have not heard back. I am cognizant of licensing implications that might affect my ability to offer the Oracle of Shadows & light deck through my Tarot app software. I remain hopeful that something positive can result from this.

The silver lining in this story is that with the already developed Tarot app software, I reached out to various Tarot deck owners with the result of a completed business arrangement which allows me to offer the Tarot Lovers App, an accomplishment of which I extremely proud, especially in having found an excellent collaborator in Karyn Easton at Paranormality.com.
My single Tarot deck pales in comparison to the multiple Tarot decks owned by others.
